My research develops a comparative perspective on urban transformation across cities shaped by conflict, environmental change, and uneven infrastructures, with a regional focus on Latin America and Sub-Saharan Africa. I am particularly interested in how urban residents navigate uncertainty in everyday life, and how domains such as humour, care and environmental politics reveal broader dynamics of social belonging, exclusion, and governance.
